Maruti Suzuki launches Grand Vitara in CNG version, check price and updated features
The leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki finally launched one of its much-awaited CNG versions of the Grand Vitara at the starting price of Rs 12.85 lakh. Interested customers can now book the vehicle by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000 from its official website or its authorized store.
The company has introduced the vehicle’s gas version only in mid-spec Delta and Zeta trims. The four wheeler becomes the firm’s first SUV four-wheeler that comes with a company-fitted CNG kit. At the launch, the car makers said that Grand Vitara has been getting a good response from the customers, which forced them to introduce the vehicle in a CNG version.

The 1.5-liter K15 engine powers the Maruti Grand Vitara CNG in CNG-spec, which generates 88 horsepower. It is the same engine that featured Ertiga and XL6 MPVs that produces 103 horsepower when running on gasoline.

Paired with a 5-speed manual transmission claims to provide fuel efficiency of 26.6km/kg in CNG mode
With features like full-LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 9.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, linked car technology, an engine start/stop button, four airbags, and a reverse camera with parking sensors, the Grand Vitara CNG comes well-equipped in its Zeta version. Apart from this, customers also get the gasoline notification monitor in the digital cluster, which allows the driver to track the capacity of gas.
As far as safety is concerned, the vehicle comes with multiple airbags, a rear parking sensor, ABS, EBD, seat belt reminder, speed alert among others
Amid this, if talking about its rival, the Grand Vitara CNG has no immediate competitors in the Indian market at the moment.
