Maruti Suzuki to enter electric vehicle segment, set to unveil 2 new EV SUVs, check details and launch date
After successfully launching the new Brezza and Grand Vitara in India, the leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is now all set to give another big surprise to all car enthusiasts next year. The report says that the company is likely to unveil to of its new vehicle including an SUV and EV in the upcoming Auto Expo 2023, which is scheduled for January 12 to January 15.
It has been reported that the firm will take the wraps off an all-new EV SUV concept (Codenamed YY8), which will be positioned above the Grand Vitara, and a Kia Seltos-sized EV which will hit the market around 2025. However, the customers will be able to see the design and specs in one of the biggest auto shows in Delhi next year.
Reacting to the same, Maruti Suzuki MD Hisashi Takeuchi said that the company has been working very hard and putting in extra effort to match the requirements of the vehicles by the Indian customers. Takeuchi said that he knows there are some loopholes in the company’s portfolio, and they are trying their best to restore it with Suzuki Motor Corporation’s support.
He said their lineup may be strengthened but in the long run, they will return to their previous position, where customers used to give first priority to the Maruti Suzuki vehicle. n addition to that, he said this year, the carmakers have debuted vehicles like Grand Vitara, the new Brezza, and Baleno for Indian roads that somehow regained the trust of customers.
Meanwhile, as far as the total vehicles are concerned from Maruti Suzuki’s side for Auto Expo 2023, the company will be showcasing the new YY8 electric concept SUV, production versions of the 5-door Jimny, Baleno-based coupe SUV, a Wagon R Flex Fuel prototype, and its customized lineup of current products, including the Grand Vitara, XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Baleno, and Swift.
