A video of a car hitting a man and then driving over him is going viral on social media. A chilling incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on October 8. The accident happened in the Nauchandi police station area of Meerut. The incident is captured in the CCTV footage.
It can be seen in the clip that the man was crossing the road when the car hit him, and he jumped two feet and fell to the ground. Even after that, the car didn’t apply the brake but dragged him for about 10 meters before driving over him.
According to the reports, the victim is identified as Divyansh, a resident of Nehru Nagar. He used to work for a private company. On Saturday night, he went out for a walk towards Hans Square with his friends. Meanwhile, a white-colored Alto car coming from Hapur road hit Divyansh while crossing the road. The rider then dragged him for about 10 meters and then drove the car over him.
A milkman is also seen passing at the time of the accident. At the same time, after the car leaves from there, locals come to help the young man. Divyansh’s friends immediately admitted him to a private hospital. According to the doctors, he is out of danger and his health is improving.
The police have registered a case against the unknown driver under relevant sections at the police station Nauchandi. People on social media are demanding to register a case under the attempt to murder section.
