He said that the Muslim men were travelling in a pickup van. Cops rescued them after one of the victims called dail 100. They were trying to clear the road occupied by cows when villagers mistook them as theft and assaulted them.

This was not the first case of mob attack on Muslim men in Madhya Pradesh. On September 15, a Muslim family were attacked when they were passing through the Auriya village in the Chhindwara area in Madhya Pradesh. They were stopped and beaten up.

According to the Muslim family, the mob were also raising religious slogans. The victim Wajid Ali, a resident of Lalgaon village in the district, was allegedly dragged and tied to a bike.

Wajid Ali alleged that his mother’s clothes were torn apart and his father was thrashed.
That incident also went viral on social media. An FIR was lodged against unknown persons. However, Wajid Ali alleged that cops deliberately changed his police statements as the accused and TI belonged to the same caste.

However, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed that his officials were doing a great job. In April 2022, he instructed state officials to destroy the mafia network. He said that there should be strict actions against criminals.
