Pre-bookings of Moto X40 open before devices official launch, key specifications revealed
Moto X40, the top-tier replacement for the Moto Edge X30, will go on sale in China on December 15.
Regarding the specifications and cost of this smartphone, Motorola has kept mum. The specifics of its design were also kept a secret. But now, the interested customers may now pre-order this phone on JD.com before it is officially released. In the run-up to its release, the company has also released a few critical details about the Moto X40. It is confirmed that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers the device.
The Moto X40 will be available for purchase in China beginning on December 15 at 7:30 p.m. local time, according to the JD.com listing (5pm IST). Unfortunately, the aforementioned listing doesn’t include any other details. This smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, according to Motorola.
Additionally, the Moto X40 features an IP68 classification for water and dust protection. The 4,600mAh battery for this forthcoming flagship smartphone will support 120W fast charging, according to a post Motorola recently released on Weibo. The company has additionally disclosed that MyUI 5.0 will be introduced during the launch event on December 15.
According to a recent report, this Motorola smartphone may be available in two configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. A 165Hz refresh rate OLED display might be available for the Moto X40. It might include two cameras with a combined resolution of 50 megapixels and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens.
As was already mentioned, the Moto Edge X30, which was introduced in China last year, will be replaced by this smartphone. Its initial retail price was CNY 3,199. (roughly Rs. 40,000).
