Arjun Sigare was charged under IPC Sections 384 (committing robbery), 399 (preparation to commit robbery), and 402 (assembly to commit robbery), Indore SP Rural Bhagat Singh Bindre said.

The MP Police have detained Sigare from his home in Manpur for interrogation. However, his health deteriorated after which he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment, the police said.

However, the kin of the deceased refused police’s claims and accused them of assaulting the youth at the police custody, leading to his death.

As soon as the news of Sigare’s death surfaced, his family members along with hundreds of tribals gathered around the Manpur police station and blocked the Agra-Mumbai highway in front of the police station, demanding compensation and government job for a family member.
