Bappi Lahiri, the legend who introduced pop music to Bollywood, passed away at 69 on February 16 due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He was admitted to Mumbai’s CritiCare Hospital.

The hospital authorities revealed that the music composer was suffering from multiple health issues and was admitted for a month. He recovered and was discharged from the hospital. On Tuesday, his health deteriorated and he succumbed to OSA. The Lahiri family then released an official statement and shared information about the funeral. As per the statement, the funeral will take place after his son Bappa returns from the US tomorrow.

Popularly known as the Disco King, Bappi Lahiri and his compositions were one of a kind. From his appearance to songs, Bappi da has always grabbed eyeballs whenever he performed. His love for gold is not hidden. Not only gold, but the deceased music composer has left behind expensive things worth crores.
