NIA raids in Bihar over Phulwari Sharif terror module case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today raided multiple locations in Bihar in the Phulwari Sharif, Patna, terror module case.
Reports said that the raids took place in Patna, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Araria and Nalanda districts. A terror plan was allegedly linked to the Popular Front of India (PFI).
According to the NIA’s FIR, on July 2022, some suspects had assembled in the Phulwari Sharif area during the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It mentioned that there was a plan of miscreants to disturb the proposed visit of PM Modi.
It said that the raid was carried out on secret information.

The NIA teams searched Athar Parvej and Mohd Jalaluddin and allegedly seized several incriminations articles and documents which were allegedly related to anti-India activities.
The FIR named 26 suspects in this terror case. However, a case was registered at Phulwari Sharif police station, but the NIA took over the case and reregistered another case based on the order issued by the Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalization Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ministry took cognisance of the gravity of the offence and national security ramifications.
The NIA registered another FIR on July 2022. It was based on the interpretation of Munir Colony, Phulwari Sharif resident Margub Ahmad Danish alias Tahir.
Reports said that NIA teams also reached Madhubani and raided the residence of banned PFI member Ansarullah alias Ansar. The team arrived from several vehicles and blocked the path around the house with the help of local police. In Chhapra too, NIA teams raided PFI member Parvej Alam.
