Maharashtra man strangles wife to death over doubts about her character
Maharashtra Police arrested a man on Monday after he allegedly killed his wife in Palghar district’s Nalasopara. A police officer said that the man took this extreme step because he doubted her wife’s character.
According to the reports, the accused had a doubt that his wife was having an extramarital affair. The couple used to have frequent quarrels over this issue. So on Monday morning, he strangulated his wife before going to work.

He then returned from work and confessed his crime, the official added.
Earlier, a similar incident took place in Nalasopara where a 27-year-old man killed his live-in partner and hid her body in a bed box at their residence. According to the reports, the couple had allegedly told their landlord and real estate agent that they were married.
But neighbours found it suspicious after a foul smell began to emanate from inside their house. The police then reached the spot where they found victim’s body stuffed in a mattress. The police then caught the accused who was trying to flee.
