Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma was arrested in February? Everything you need to know

Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma was arrested by the Delhi Police last month. As per the reports, Sharma was booked under IPC Section 279 for rash or negligent driving.

The reports also said that Sharma was allegedly speeding his Jaguar Land Rover car and he hit DCP Benira Marie Jaiker’s vehicle which was parked outside Mother’s International School in Delhi. The DCP’s driver was on his way to the petrol pump when the incident took place on February 22. Reportedly, Vijay Shekhar Sharma fled from the spot after hitting the car.

Delhi Police spokesperson Suman Nalwa later confirmed Sharma’s arrest and also informed that he has been granted bail.
