Video of policemen slapping, grabbing women by her hair in Uttarakhand goes viral, users enraged | Watch

A blood-boiling incident has come to light from Uttarakhand where several policemen were seen assaulting and beating up women in a video. Recently the police lathicharged protesting aspirants who demonstrated after the paper got leaked for government jobs. It is likely that the viral video is from the same protest.

In the video, several policemen can be seen cornering a protesting man and then unleashing an onslaught on the man. Upon seeing the commotion escalate, other protesting women also chimed in to call out the police, however, the unruly policemen went on to assault the women as well.

The video shows one policeman getting agitated and slapping the protesting women and then going further and grabbing her slamming her to the ground. The other policemen then went on to attack other women as well, who can be heard screaming out of fear and fright.

According to the law, a policeman has no right to touch or manhandle a woman without having a female constable present on the spot.

There have been multiple accounts and videos that have surfaced where the police can be seen brutally beating up the protesting youth against the paper leak.

After the video went viral, many users came forward and added their take on the incident as one user wrote and said that this is what happens when people vote for other issues and not for development. The user further wrote that they have no sympathy for the youth who got beaten and added that these are the ramifications of not voting on time, implying that if there would have been a different government in the state, things would have been different.

One user wrote and launched an attack on the police saying that the police should go drown in a lake, implying that the police should be ashamed of their actions as they decided to beat up unarmed women.
