Premier league: Week 8 witnessed Tottenham, Manchester City, Everton and Arsenal pull past their opponents, Newcastle’s stalemate spell continues

Premier league week 8 saw Wolves go head to head against Manchester City, Newcastle clash Bournemouth, Tottenham much anticipated clash Leicester City, Arsenal contend Brentford, Everton vs West Ham, Aston Villa locking horns with Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Fulhams clashing. Week 8 of the premier league schedule became a jarring spectacle to watch for the fans got to witness Son’s hattrick, the scoring machine, Erling Halland, and Arsenal’s domination this week.

Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa clash with away side Southampton at Villa’s home turf sent the fans back with big smiles on their faces as the Villa was able to pull through with a 1-0 victory with the help of Jacob Ramsey. Newcastle’s tying spell continued in their clash against Bournemouth as both teams scored in the second half. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Bournemouth’s Philip Billing found themselves on the scoresheet. Frank Lampard’s Everton, however, took the challenge head-on against West Ham at their home as they came up as victors with a  1-0 win against the hammers.

Harry Kane and company dominated in their much-anticipated clash against Leicester City on their home turf as both the teams put up quite a show for the fans. Leicester drew early blood as Youri Tielmans scored a penalty in the opening minutes which was answered by captain Harry Kane in the next few minutes. Eric Dier added to the tally and gave Antonio Conte’s side a lead only for James Maddison to respond with his equalizer.

Rodrigo Bentacur in second half gave spurs some respite as Tottenham found themselves ahead of Leicester City, the goal was followed by Son’s genius as he scored a hattrick in mere 13 minutes which led Tottenham triumph over Leicester with 6-2 scoreline.

Arsenal continues to hold their place as the leaders of the table after easily pulling past Brentford in their clash. William Saliba, consistent Gabriel Jesus, and Fabio Vieira found themselves on the scoresheet against Brentford.

The fans will witness two derby matches in week 9 of the Premier League where Arsenal will play against Tottenham and Manchester United will go head to head against Manchester, Liverpool will clash against Brighton, Fulham vs Newcastle, Southampton vs Everton, Crystal Palace vs Chelsea, Bournemouth vs Brentford, West Ham clash against Wolves in next week’s fixture.
