The King of Comedy, Raju Srivastava left for the heavenly abode on September 21. The comedian passed away after being on a ventilator for over a month. The news of his death was confirmed by his family members on Wednesday.
Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while working out in his gym and was taken to AIIMS, Delhi on August 10. He went through angioplasty and was put on a ventilator and his health was on and off ever since.
From millions of his fans to Bollywood celebrities to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, condolences poured in soon after his demise. In this episode, Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan also shared a video and can be seen teary-eyed as he condoled the comedian’s death.
The actor-politician, in the video, said he lost his brother today and he never thought the comedian would pass away at such a young age. He further said they both started their journeys together when Mumbai was Bombay and also bought their first house in the city together.
Kishan also informed that he spoke to Raju’s daughter last week. He continued that the comedian was a health freak and never touched alcohol or drugs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sent heartfelt condolences to the comedian’s family. Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote Raju Srivastava brightened lives with laughter, humour, and positivity. He left us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people, Modi continued.

Popular as Gajodhar, Raju Srivastava was one of the noted comedians of India. He kick-started his comedy venture with reality shows like The Great Indian Laughter, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala, and others.
