Raju Srivastava’s love story

For those uninitiated, the comedian waited for 12 years to tie the knot with Sikha. It all started when Raju was attending his brother’s wedding in Fatehpur and saw Sikha. In one of his old interviews, he had revealed that it was love at first sight and then and there he decided to marry her. He later found out about Sikha being his sister-in-law’s uncle’s daughter.

In the meantime, Raju did not have the grit to confess his feelings to Sikha. In 1982, he moved to Mumbai and had to struggle to make a name in the industry. After gaining recognition, he decided to marry Shikha and sent her letters.

Later, Raju sent a marriage proposal to Sikha’s house and got married on May 17, 1993.

Raju Srivastava has passed away but his legacy will captivate for generations to come. May his soul rest in peace.
