Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is one of the most-anticipated feel-good films by Karan Johar. Fans who are waiting for the film to hit the silver screen have to wait no more as the makers have announced its release date.


The romantic drama is all set to go on floors on July 28, 2023. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on February 10.

Singh took to social media and announced the major development with the fans. Sharing the release date, he tagged the makers and stars of the film.

Bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahan also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The music of the film has been given by Pritam Chakraborty and the screenplay is by Shashank Khaitan, Ishita Moitra, and Sumit Roy.

Earlier, in an interview, Karan Johar promised the film to be a family entertainer and if reports are to be believed it is the sequel to films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

The makers have earlier shared BTS pictures and videos during filming the song which created a buzz around the film already.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The film failed to impress the audience and failed at the box office. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Brahmastra Part One co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, and Amitabh Bachchan. Ayan Mukerji’s film got mixed reactions for the film, however, it did numbers at the box office.

Dharmendra was last seen in the 2018 film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, which also starred his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol. He will also be seen in Apne 2 the sequel to his 2007 film Apne, co-starring his sons.
