The first match of the 3-game ODI series between India vs New Zealand was played on Wednesday. The Indian team started batting first and the team scored 349 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. In response, the start of New Zealand to chase this target was not very special, however they did pick up the pace in time but black caps lost the match.

However, despite winning the nail biting match and taking a lead of 1-0 in the 3-match ODI series, Indian captain Rohit Sharma seemed angry during the post match presentation. Sports commentator Harsha Bhogle was in conversation with Sharma after the win and Rohit didn’t shy away from stating the facts.

Indian skipper started off by saying that the way Michael Bracewell was batting and the way the ball was coming on his bat, it was Michael Bracewell’s clean ball striking. Rohit said that Indian team knew that if they bowled well, men in blue would be fine as long as they didn’t really slip with the ball. And unfortunately this is what happened. Moreover, after winning the toss, Rohit had said that he wants to challenge himself and the team but the situation was not what Rohit had expected.

Rohit further added that Siraj is bowling well not only in Test matches but also in T20 format and now in ODIs as well and it’s really good to see what he does with the ball. ‘Siraj is executing on what he wants to do and he is very clear about his plans.
