BJP Tamil Nadu Vice President Sasikala Pushpa house, car vandalized, blames DMK minister Geetha Jeevan
Unidentified men vandalized the car and house of BJP Tamil Nadu Vice President Sasikala Pushpa on Thursday. BJP members, including Sasikala Pushpa, accused DMK Minister Geetha Jeevan of the vandalism.
The former AIADMK MP shared the pictures, which showed broken window panes, flower pots, and chairs kept in the front yard. The MP’s car, which was parked outside her house, was also vandalized. The unidentified men also broke the windows and windshields of the car.
The attack happened when Sasikala was not present at her home. She had gone to attend a meeting at Nagercoil. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the BJP cadres assembled at her house and informed the police. The police reached the spot and took cognizance of the incident.
The police have lodged a complaint and are going through CCTV footage to identify the culprits. The attack was condemned by a number of other BJP officials, who also vowed to keep fighting the evil forces that aim to undermine the party.
BJP leader K Annamalai took to Twitter and claimed that the vandalism was carried out by the goons of DMK Minister of Women Empowerment and Social Justice Geetha Jeevan. He tweeted Under the instructions of the Minister of Women Empowerment and Social Welfare in the @arivalayam government, Tmt. Geetha Jeevan’s DMK goons vandalized BJP Vice President Tmt. Sasikala Pushpa’s house and car today.
He further said Sasikala Pushpa’s only mistake was to question the minister’s inability to provide good governance and their corrupt practices.
The attack comes a few days after she criticized the ruling DMK government headed by MK Stalin. Sasikala used some controversial words to threaten Geetha Jeevan after the latter in an event said When Annamalai climbs the stage, we too will have to climb.
Sasikala then said Who are you calling Goebels? Annamalai or Geetha Jeevan or MK Stalin? Only DMK is doing Goebbels’s work. You said that poor children’s education loan will be waived off but you lied. So who is the Goebbels? Meanwhile, my leader Annamalai is working relentlessly for the students. By the time you leave your house, you won’t have you legs, she added.
