A shocking incident took place in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal on Friday night when a man got stuck in a raging river near Sri Yantra Tapoo in Pauri Garhwal after his car fell into it. However, hours later he was rescued by the state disaster response team during the late-night operation.

The 55-second video shows the man sitting on the roof of his car. Later, members of the rescue team can be seen climbing down a slope with the help of ropes into the water. After they eventually reach the spot, the video shows SDRF handing the man a life jacket before carrying him to safety.

Reports suggest that the man was a local resident and was going home after late work, but eventually landed up in a troublesome situation. After the successful rescue operation, the official statement was release which stated that in an operation late last night, SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) rescued a man who got stuck in a raging river near Sri Yantra Tapoo in Pauri Garhwal district after his car fell into it. The rescued man is a local resident and is now safe.
