Shalin Bhanot's ex-wife, actor Dalljeet Kaur to get married to UK-based man in March, will move abroad with son

Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shalin Bhanot’s ex-wife and actor Dalljeet Kaur is all set to tie the knot with UK-based Nikhil Patel in March this year. The couple got engaged on January 3 in Nepal after being in a relationship for about a year.

The reports state that Dalljeet will move with her 9-year-old son Jaydon to London after marriage and then move to Nairobi in Africa for a couple of years as Nikhil is placed there for work right now. After that, they will shift back to London, where Nikhil was born and raised. Nikhil works for a finance company.

Speaking about their love story, Dalljeet said she met Nick (Nikhil) at a friend’s party in Dubai last year. She said she only spoke about his son, and he was talking about his two daughters, 13-year-old Aariyana and 8-year-old Aanika. He wore blue nail polish on his toes, and when she asked him about it, he replied that he is a proud dad of two girls.

She said romance wasn’t in the air back then; it was just two single parents chatting. Love developed over time. She went on to say that it was their love for their children that brought them together. While Anika lives with her mother in the US, Aariyana will live with them.

The Bigg Boss 13 contestant said she feared giving marriage a second chance. Her greatest fear, she said, was making the wrong decision. However, as she was picking up the broken pieces of her life, along with realizing how much Jaydon missed having a dad, it was also about her missing a companion, which she hadn’t felt earlier, she said.

She further stated that she is in love with Nikhil and can feel butterflies in her stomach every time he calls her. The Sasural Genda Phool 2 actor further went on to say that she never thought this would happen, as she had always thought that she would marry first and then fall in love.

Meanwhile, Dalljeet and Shalin got married in 2009. But due to their turbulent relationship, the couple decided to opt for divorce in 2013.
