Sonia Gandhi to travel overseas for her medical check-ups, Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi to accompany her

Congress party’s general secretary, Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday, informed the press about Sonia Gandhi’s plan to travel abroad for her medical check-ups. The Congress party president will be accompanied by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Jairam Ramesh also added that Sonia, along with her daughter and son, Priyanka and Rahul will also be visiting her sick Mother as well before returning. Ramesh in his statement also added that Mehangai Par Halla Boll will be addressed by Rahul Gandhi on 4th September 2022.

The Gandhi family’s travel plan comes ahead of the Congress party Presidential elections, as well as their scheduled campaign movement, Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is scheduled from 7th September.

Congress on Tuesday released the logo, tagline, and official website for their upcoming campaign, Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to cover 3,570 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir over a duration of 5 months beginning in September.

Congress Party’s interim President had tested positive for Corona Virus in August while the Gandhi Family was dealing with Enforcement Directorate’s money laundering case linked to National Herald.

The Congress party is set to hold a presidential election for which there has been an internal tussle. However, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot had hinted toward the party is inclined toward Rahul Gandhi for the post. Gehlot added that Rahul Gandhi should accept the post by himself as, if he doesn’t, the party will suffer. He added that this isn’t just him speaking but the common Congress people also share similar views.

Sonia Gandhi’s plan to travel overseas comes under scrutiny by the tweeple as they ask why the Party president has to travel overseas for the check-ups even though there are more than enough adequate hospitals in India such as AIIMS, whose establishment was an effort made by India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
