In a dispute over a pet dog defecating outside a house, a group of men beat up a disabled youth by throwing him on the road in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district.
The video of the men beating up the youth is going viral on social media. After the video surfaced, the Ghaziabad police swung into action and registered an FIR against the accused on the victim’s complaint, Mohit Kumar. On the basis of viral video and complaint, the police have started taking further action.

The incident was reported from Vasundhara Sector-2 of Indirapuram police station area of Ghaziabad district. Complainant Mohit Kumar told the cops that he had asked the dog’s owner Ketan Sabarwal to make his dog defecate near the railway tracks and not in front of his house. A verbal spat broke between the two after the dog defecated outside Mohit’s house. The owner of the dog Ketan Sabarwal got angry on this matter.
It is alleged that the owner of the dog and his companions beat up Mohit Kumar, whose video is going viral on social media.
Complainant Mohit alleged that Ketan also threatened him that he would take revenge in front the entire colony. The complainant said in his complaint that action should be taken against the accused for abusing, assaulting and threatening to kill him. Police officials have registered a complaint in the matter and have launched an investigation.
Notably, a similar incident also came to the fore from Gurugram district of Haryana. A security guard here was allegedly beaten up by a dog owner after the guard prevented him from walking his dog.
CCTV footage of the incident also came to the fore, in which it is seen that the man was mercilessly beating the guard with sticks. The guard had told him that he was not allowed to walk the pet dog at the place and this led to an altercation between the two following which the man thrashed the guard. With several incidents of dog bites reported in Delhi-NCR in the past few months, many societies have banned dog walking in public places.
