Telugu actor Sudheer Varma, who is known for his roles in Kundanapu Bomma, Second Hand and Neeku Naaku Dash Dash, allegedly died by suicide on Monday. The 33-year-old actor had allegedly consumed poison in Warangal on January 10, and since then he had been battling for his life.
According to the reports, after consuming the poison Varma later went to his relatives’ house in Kondapur, Hyderabad where he revealed his ailing condition. His relatives took him to the Osmania Hospital but he was later shifted to Vishakhapatnam on January 21 due to his deteriorating condition. However, the actor passed away on January 23 during the treatment.
As per the report in TOI, Varma committed suicide because he had been struggling for a while to get good roles.
It came as a shock to the Telugu industry. Varma’s several co-stars and directors mourned the demise of the actor. His co-star from Kundanapu Bomma, Sudhakar Komakula, took to Twitter and shared a few pictures of Sudheer and remembered him. In a tweet, he wrote, Sudheer, Such a lovely and warm guy. It was great knowing you and working with you brother! Can’t digest the fact that you are no more! Om Shanti!
Director Venky Kudumula also took to Twitter and offered his condolences. He shared a picture of Sudheer and with the caption, Sometimes the sweetest smiles hide the deepest pain. We never know what others are going through. Please be empathetic and spread just love!! Miss you ra Sudheer! You shouldn’t have done this. May ur soul rest in peace, his tweet read.
Reportedly, the Maharanipeta police said the hospital authorities will be summoned as they had released the body without conducting the post-mortem and also without informing the police. This is because it was a medico legal case.
Sudheer Varma’s funeral is likely to take place today in Visakhapatnam.
