Bihar YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who shared fake videos of attacks on migrants in Tamil Nadu, arrested
Bihar YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who shared fake videos of attacks on Bihari migrants in Tamil Nadu, on Saturday was arrested by the Bihar police Economic Offences Unit (EOU).
Reports said Kashyap was wanted by the Bihar police and surrendered before the law enforcers in the West Champaran district.
Manish Kashyap has been booked by the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar police on the charges of spreading fake videos of migrants killed and beaten up in Tamil Nadu on social media. Reports further said the EOU froze four bank accounts belonging to the YouTuber.
On March 15, Bihar police formed a special team to arrest Kashyap and Yuvraj Singh Rajput and carried out raids in other states as well to nab them.
The Bihar Police released a statement saying six teams were constituted by the EOU along with Patna and Champaran Police and raids were conducted on his locations at various places and hideouts since Friday.

Manish Kashyap surrendered at Jagdishpur police station of Bettiash on Saturday fearing arrest and other legal action, the police statement said.
Reports further said the EOU officials have already arrested Aman Kumar from the Jamui district. An FIR was filed against Manish Kashyap, Aman Kumar, Rakesh Tiwary, and Yuvraj Singh Rajput.
Manish Kashyap is known as the Son of Bihar on social media. He uploaded a video online tagging Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav wherein he addressed the treatment of Bihar migrants in Tamil Nadu. He also claimed that an FIR was filed against him for speaking about the issue on social media.
Later, he shared a video on Facebook hinting towards the FIR. In the video shared by him, two people were seen laughing out loud while discussing the issue.
The video received massive flak on social media following which the Tamil Nadu Police also registered 12 cases to investigate the matter.
