Top Gun: Maverick , Tom Cruise-starring film to release on Prime Video on December 26 in India
Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick, will start to steam in India on Prime Video platform from December 26. The film produced under the banner of Paramount Pictures, a squel of Tom Cruise’s classic 1986 classic hit Top Gun, will be accesibile in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malyalam on Amazon Prime Video.
The releade date for the film, Top Gun: Maveric was announced by Prime Video on its verified Twitter page.
The Prime Video’s Tweet reads, “All set to take-off on a new adventure and a nostalgia ride like never experienced before, #TopGunMaverickOnPrime, December 26.”
The action spectacular finds Maverick preparing a crew of Top Gun grads for a specialised mission more than 30 years after the events of Tony Scott’s Top Gun.

The sequel stars Ed Harris, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Cruise reprising his role as US Naval aviator Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell.
Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is hailed as the highest-grossing movie of 2022, with recorded earnings of $1.488 billion (approximately Rs 12,500 crore) globally. According to box office receipts, it was the twelfth-biggest film of all time. Additionally, it received many honours, including nominations for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for best picture and the Golden Globe Award for best motion picture — drama.
On Amazon’s Prime Video, the movie has previously been available for online purchase or rental. On May 27 of this year, Top Gun: Maverick had its initial theatrical release.
