Uorfi Javed files complaint against BJP’s Chitra Kishor Wagh for her remarks on actor’s dressing sense
Bigg Boss OTT fame Uorfi Javed has complained about Bharatiya Janata Party leader Chitra Kishor Wagh’s alleged comments about her immodest clothing choices.
Nitin Satpute, Uorfi’s attorney, claimed that the OTT star has filed a complaint with the Maharashtra State Commission for Women.
Wagh is the target of a complaint alleging that she threatened and criminally intimidated the actor in order to hurt her in the public eye. In accordance with the relevant part of the Code of Criminal Procedure(CrPC), the attorney has also asked for preventative action.
Uorfi Javed’s attorney said that he has filed a complaint for the offence U/s 153(A)(B), 504, 506, and 506(ii) of the IPC against BJP Party Worker Chitra Kishor Wagh for Threatening, and Criminal Intimidation to do harm to Model/Actress Urfi Javed on public domain.
Chapter Proceeding against her as she is continuously committing breach of peace in society by threatening on media,’ the statement continued, adding that today he mailed complaint to Woman Commission and now about 12:30, eh would meet Rupali Chakankar Chairman Woman Commission with written complaint for taking further action.
On January 4, a BJP leader attacked Uorfi Javed on Twitter for her fashion choices and questioned whether the Women’s Commission would take any action.
Wagh had tweeted in Marathi that half dressed up women roam freely about the streets. Why isn’t this being noticed by the Women’s Commission itself? The demonstration is against the way people behave when going around in public spaces, not Uorfi. Additionally, will the Women’s Commission take any action or not?
Nitin Satpute, Uorfi Javed’s attorney, also declared that he will meet with the head of the women’s commission and submit a formal written complaint to the appropriate authorities requesting further action.
‘She [Uorfi] has a threat to her life as she can be mob killed after such a public provocation by the BJP Leader Chitra Wagh thus protection should be granted to her for the purpose of her well-being,’ Javed’s attorney Nitin Satpute said.
