Uttar Pradesh school principal suspended after video of students singing Iqbal song goes viral | Watch
A story has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly where the principal of a government school has been suspended after the video of the students singing Allama Iqbal’s Bacche Ki Dua song went viral. According to reports the police has filed a report in the matter, however, no one has been arrested till now.
In the video, a morning school assembly of students can be seen singing the Allama Iqbal’s Bachhe Ki Dua song in which the Children can be heard singing Mere Allah Burai Se Bachaana Mujhko (my Allah please save me from evil).

The reference to Allah has raised a lot of stir after which the police swung into action and filed a case in the pertaining matter.
It is to be noted that the song the children were singing in the morning prayer was penned by Allama Iqbal, who also wrote Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Humara.
Authorities action
According to reports, the education department said that the school principal has been suspended after the administration learned about the matter and have also added that they will conduct an inquiry into the case.
Police have also filled a case and cited that the prayer was not part of the approved list and belonged to a specific community. The Police officials have also said that due to the prayer not being a part of the daily prayer schedule of the Government school and related to a religion they have filed a case.

After the video went viral, many users added their take on the matter as a user wrote and highlighted that Iqbal wrote Sare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Humara and also questioned if the other community members from other religions can replace the name of Ishwar with Allah. He further asked why can’t they sing Vande Matram
Another user added and said that these songs used to be sung in previous generations as well and further asked what happened all of a sudden. Another user also added that they used to sing this song in their school days as well, and further was shocked how the 21st century looks like this.
