Indians have a special place in their hearts for Vijay Diwas, which falls on December 16. Every year, it is observed as a means to recognise the courage, persistence, and bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, who helped create Bangladesh by defeating Pakistan in the 1971 war.

On this day in 1971, the combined power of the Indian Army and Bangladesh’s Mukti Bahini forced the commander of the Pakistani army, Lieutenant General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, to submit. Shershaah

One of the most well-liked films of 2021 was ‘Shershaah’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. Based on the story of Captain Vikram Batra, a hero of the Kargil War in 1999 who gave his life in the cause of his country while defending Indian territory from Pakistani invaders.

Bhuj: The Pride of India

Abhishek Dudhaiya’s war movie casts Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Nora Fatehi in the lead roles. IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik battles through all obstacles in the story to complete his goal of restoring the Bhuj air base with the help of 300 local women. This year’s film, which was released, was set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.

The Ghazi Attack

Sankalp Reddy is the writer and director of the 2017 Indian war movie Ghazi, which was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi languages, and was titled ‘The Ghazi Attack’. In particular, the puzzling sinking of PNS Ghazi in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War served as the inspiration for Ghazi. Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni, and Satya Dev were the stars that acted in this film.

The movie, which JP Dutta wrote and directed, was based on actual events that took place during the Battle of Longewala in 1971. Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Puneet Issar, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda played the key characters in the India-Pakistan war movie. In 1998, J.P. Dutta took up the National Award for Best Direction.

LOC Kargil

Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna played the lead actors in the 2003 film, which also starred Saif Ali Khan. The Kargil War, which India and Pakistan fought in 1999, served as the inspiration for the historical movie. The movie has one of the longest runs of any Indian movie ever at 225 minutes.
