Actor Vikram Gokhale admitted to Dinanath Hospital, Pune
Senior actor Vikram Gokhale’s health has been deteriorating day-by-day. He has been admitted to Dinanath Hospital in Pune. He is undergoing hospital treatment for the last 15 days. The doctors told media that Gokhale has been suffering from cancer but refused to reveal any further information and said Gokhale’s family will give further update on his health status.
Vikram Gokhale’s acting has dominated several fields of entertainment fields such as acting in films, theatre and cinematography. He has played many different and memorable roles till date. Along with acting, he has also done writing and directing for Indian entertainment industry. The critics have also praised films directed by him. In the year 2013, he was honored with the National Award for his acting in the movie Aloohi.

Due to several tragedies, Vikram Gokhale retired from acting in plays and used to work as acting trainer to budding artists. For the unversed, Vikram Gokhale is the son of Durgabai Kamat, the first female actress in Indian cinema, and his grand mother Kamalabai Gokhale was the first female child artist of India. Vikram Gokhale’s father Chandrakant Gokhale had also acted in more than 70 Hindi-Marathi films.
Vikram Gokhale has acted in several Marathi and Bollywood films, but he is best remembered for his roles in 1990 Amitabh Bachchan starrer Agnipath and 1999’s Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai starrer Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and 2007’s Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa
His family has not yet reveal anything about his health. But the doctors revealed that Vikram is suffering from cancer. But they didn’t given anymore details on the type of cancer or his health. Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale had been in hospital for 15 days previously. But after his heath deteriorated he was again taken back to the medical infrastructure. His fans and industry friends have been hoping for his soon recovery.
