Vinod Kambli’s wife Andrea lodges FIR against him for hitting her on head
Former Indian cricket team player Vinod Kambli has once again landed in trouble. His wife has accused him of allegedly abusing and assaulting her in a drunken state at their Bandra flat on Friday. His wife has also lodged a complaint against Kambli regarding this.
Bandra police said an FIR has been registered against Kambli under sections-324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and 504 (insult) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

He is accused of allegedly throwing the handle of a cooking pan at his wife Andrea, injuring her head. However, his wife said that the matter was being resolved. The incident took place between 1am to 1:30 am when Kambli allegedly came to his Bandra flat in an inebriated state and abused his wife.
The incident was witnessed by Kambli’s 12 year-old-son who also tried to pacify him. But Kambli did not calm down and ran to the kitchen. He brought the handle of the pan from there and threw it at his wife. Bandra Police said that Vinod Kambli’s wife first went to Bhabha Hospital. After this, she reached the police station to register a case.

In the complaint, Kambli’s wife Andrea said that despite trying to pacify him, he abused her and their son without any reason. After striking out the cooking panhandle, he struck her again with a bat. She somehow managed to stop him after which she reached the hospital with their son.
Vinod Kambli was in controversies earlier also
Notably, even before this, Kambli has been embroiled in controversies. In February last year, Kambli was hit by a car at the gate of his society. When there was a dispute, he had also argued with the people of the society. Due to this he was arrested. However, he was later released on bail.

In this he also scored two centuries. His best score in ODI cricket was 106 runs.
