After Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli seen motivating out-of-form Ruturaj, tweeple hail Kohli
IPL 2022: RCB’s former skipper Virat Kohli is know for uplifting young talent and giving them chances. He did the same last night after losing to Chennai Super Kings. Ruturaj Gaikwad who is the opening batsman of CSK is going through a tough phase. To everyone’s surprise the orange cap holder of last year is struggling in IPL 2022 to even score a thirty. The opener seemed a bit depressed after his third consecutive fail and that’s when former captain Virat Kohli took him to the stands and had a long chat with him.
Chennai Super Kings won the match with 23 runs and ended their losing streak. However, the opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad couldn’t contribute to this win. He seemed a bit demotivated with his performance and talked his heart out to Virat Kohli. The later took time after the match and had a long chat with Gaikwad. CSK fans must be hoping to see some improvement in his performance from here on.

Virat Kohli got applauded for this act and tweeple appreciated his sportsman spirit. A user wrote, “it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to keep your loss aside and motivate a young player to perform better, that too an opponent who can create trouble for your team as well.” Another user writes, “One thing I really admire about Virat Kohli is that he always backs youngsters. Even yesterday after the match he had a chat with Ruturaj who’s going through a rough patch this year. Always respect Virat for encouraging young players.”
However, its not for the first time that Virat has talked and motivated an opponent. Last year, Mumbai Indians opening batsman, Ishan Kishan was also struggling to bat and was going through a rough phase. Virat Kohli went and had a long conversation with him. He motivated Ishan and told him where to improve. And to everyone’s surprise, Ishan Kishan made a half century in the next match. He even gave credit to his former skipper for believing in him.
