Wasim Jaffer says Hardik Pandya not bowling is a concern for Gujarat Titans, here's what former cricketer predicts about Pandya's T20 World Cup spot
Former India batter Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his funny memes and witty reactions on social media, on Wednesday predicted that team Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s T20 World Cup spot is in danger if he doesn’t bowl in the remaining matches of the IPL 2022. Pandya not bowling is also a concern for Gujarat Titans, he said
He said Hardik Pandya not bowling is a concern for GT. If he doesn’t bowl in the rest of the tournament, Indian selectors will also have to think if they have to pick him just as a pure batter for the T20 World Cup.
In the latest interaction with commentator Nikhil Chopra, Jaffer said Pandya started well but has been quite average in the second half of the season. They were discussing the form of Pandya and other Gujarat Titan players.
Jaffer said Pandya was bowled in initial matches and was consistent with the bat as well. He has 333 runs at a strike rate of 134.27 and has only four wickets.
With 18 points in 12 matches, the Gujarat Titans has become the table topper of the IPL 2022. After registering massive 62-run wins against Lucknow Super Giants, the Titans became the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
Earlier, Wasim Jaffer had shared a video from an Ajay Devgan movie about Pandya’s bowling absence in GT camp.
Taking to Twitter, Jaffer had written that Hardik Pandya comes on to bowl! Indian fans.
Cricket fans have been waiting eagerly to see Hardik Pandya bowl full-tilt. However, their wishes had come true last month true when Pandya had completed his 4-over quota during Gujarat Titans’ encounter against Lucknow Super Giants
