Janarda Mishra, Member of Parliament from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh has given a strange statement. He has urged people to ‘drink alcohol, smoke weed, drink corex, smell thinner solution or eat iodex, do anything but understand the value of water.’
The occasion was Foundation day of Madhya Pradesh and Rewa MP Janardan Mishra was addressing the public during a workshop on water conservation and promotion in Rewa.
During this, Mishra said that electricity bills can be waived, free ration can also be distributed because governments are making big promises at the time of elections. But, if someone talks about free water, then he should not believe, because it is not possible.

BJP MP from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh Janardan Mishra is once again in the headlines. While explaining the importance of water, the BJP MP has given permission for the consumption of intoxicants. He said any kind of intoxication was okay, if, after cutting all expenses, you pay the water tax. It was the need of hour to understand the utility of water, Mishra added.
But the MP did not stop here. He further said – Whether you drink alcohol, chew gutkha, eat Iodex and whether you smell thinner, but you will have to pay tax for water. All expenses should be cut and everyone should pay the water tax.

MP Mishra said that some parties say that they will waive water tax, but we have to pay water tax because the water level is going down fast. In such a situation, the utility of water has to be understood. All the rivers and streams are drying up. There is no water left on the earth. The water level is decreasing and we are wasting water, he added.
Every person has a right to get clean drinking water at home. For this, the government has made ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme. The citizens should cooperate with this scheme and water tax should be paid by forming water committees, only then the scheme will be a success.
