A video of the incident is now going viral on the Internet.

As soon as the woman put this into action, she was immediately nabbed by the security officials and was taken off the carpet.

In the viral video, a woman can be seen in a yellow-blue coloured dress, the same colours which are in the flag of war hit Ukraine posing for the pictures while walking on the red carpet.

The woman then climbed some stairs and pulled out two red coloured pouches and poured the red liquid substance over her head while smiling before the cameras.

The red substance first appeared to be blood but later it was found to be a fake blood.

All of this happened during the screening of Acide, a film directed by French director Philippot at the Cannes film festival.

Reports said, the woman took this step to show her solidarity with the people of Ukraine, which is underway invasion by Russia for more than a year now.

While, no official statements or comments have been received yet on the said demonstration.

A similar incident took place at the festival last year, when a woman stripped off her clothes at the red carpet event, with her body painted in the colours of Ukraine flag with a message written, which read stop raping us.

The woman had gathered a huge attention globally.  She was protesting against Russia demanding them to stop the rapes, referring to the charges by Ukraine which surfaced last year about Russian soldiers raping the Ukrainian women during the invasion.
