Delhi Police on Thursday arrested YouTuber Prince Dixit after his videos celebrating his birthday bash atop a car roof on National Highway- 24 (NH-24) went viral. The video is from last year, November 16, when Dixit and his friends were seen violating traffic rules.

In the viral videos, the YouTuber and his friends can be seen on rooftops of moving cars, driving at high speeds with loud music playing in the background. People also came out of windows and danced on cars’ bonnets.

Delhi Police took cognizance of the matter and wrote Cognizance of the matter has been taken. We are inquiring into it to identify the offenders and to get the details of the time of the incident. Appropriate legal action shall be taken against the offenders, it said in a tweet.

According to the reports, the video was shot on his birthday on the National Highway passing from Akshardham to Ghaziabad. During interrogation, Dixit told police that the video was shot while they were en route to Shakarpur from NH24.

He also admitted that he had broken traffic rules and appealed to his YouTube subscribers to refrain from doing so, as per Delhi Police. The police are also looking for Prince Dixit’s friends who along with him were creating a ruckus on the road.

Recently, two YouTubers, Jorawar Singh Kalsi and Gurpreet Singh, were detained in Gurugram for hurling cash from a moving Baleno car onto the Golf Course road in Haryana.

The video of the incident wherein the accused persons were recreating a scene from a web series titled Farzi went viral on social media. The Manoranjan Bank of India was written on the notes that were thrown in the viral video, according to the authorities.
